Do I have to quit my job or freelance practice?

No. Most experts take occasional scoped mandates. You choose what you accept, and availability is part of your profile.

How does payment work?

One bills the client once and pays experts for the work they take on under the agreed mandate. Rates and scope are confirmed before work starts.

Will the client know my name?

By default, no. Clients see the disciplines on their case and speak to One. Individual names stay internal unless there is a specific reason and both sides agree.

What if I disagree with another specialist?

That is useful. Put it in the internal thread. One reconciles the disagreement into a single recommendation rather than sending competing opinions to the client.

How long does vetting take?

Applications are reviewed as briefs arrive. If there is an immediate fit you will hear quickly; otherwise your application stays on file for future mandates.
